Remember Rejoice and Renew
Dear Friends,
As many of you know, November 11th marked the 125th Anniversary of our Northside Family YMCA. Thank you to our Northside Community and friends for sharing with us in remembering our 125 year history, rejoicing in our dedication to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility and in our pledge to renew our commitment to service for the next 125 years.
We experienced a wonderful open house and gala celebration on Saturday November 17th to honor our Anniversary. Thank you to Standard Parking, Travel With Martha, the Historic Jackson Ward Association and the YMCA of Greater Richmond for your support of the Gala. Thanks also to our open house supporters - Brooks Diner, Lowe's, Subway, Cardinal Vending, and Big Lots and the many YMCA staff and volunteers that made our celebrations possible. We greatly appreciate the Honorable Chris Hilbert and Mayor Dwight C. Jones for recognizing the 125 years of continuous service of the Northside Family YMCA by honoring this milestone with a Proclamation from the City of Richmond.
I am proud to be part of this legacy and am grateful for our generous, caring community. I know that we will all work diligently to bring to fruition our future building plans that will help us to continue to serve our neighborhood. Together we will strengthen the foundations of our community.
With gratitude,

Marilyn A Milio
